Halloween Bloody Nails

H a p p y  H a l l o w e e n !

I hope you all have a spooktacular and ghoulish time! If you’re still stuck for some last minute Halloween costume ideas these blood dripped nails are simple and not too over the top. Personally these are my favourite nails as they’re subtle and still gruesome, give them a go!

What you’ll need/what I used: L-R: Barry M 339 black nail polish, Seche Vite Topcoat, Models own Snow White polish, Nails inc. Kate Spade New York Big Apple Red polish and toothpicks.

Step one: Paint the entire nail a nude colour.

Step two: Once that’s dried take your toothpick, bobby pin or dotting tool to create the blood. The tip is to dot the end of the drip and then pull up slightly to create a drooling effect. Make three longer vertical dripping blood lines. It doesn’t matter too much if it’s messy, the messier the better! I mean what kind of blood is neat?!

Step three: Then join the three drooling lines together to create a bloody french tip manicure.

Step four: Add extra dots/blobs around the nail to create the splattered blood. Also don’t be afraid to add extra thinner drooling bits of blood.

Step five: Once all nails have completely dried finish with a fast-drying topcoat to protect your designs and prevent them from chipping.

And that’s it! You’ll now have some blood curdlingly creepy nails. These look extra spooky with pointed/round nails to make them look like talons. Just be careful not to lose too much blood in the process.
